Quick video demonstrating how I microetch the following ortho lab appliances: Space maintainer, Bonded Hyrax, Arch length maintainer, Haas expander and crowns for a Herbst appliance. I use Renfert 90 micron Aluminum Oxide. A microetcher is very similar to sandblasting. It is awesome for removing debris and roughens up the surface of Crowns and Bands to allow better adhesion for glues and cements. Check out my other videos if interested in Ortho Lab procedures:
