Young Abby waits nervously at the orthodontist’s office. She already already been in full braces for several months. While she can feel the pressure they place on her teeth, and she knows they are working, she does not like how they make her look. But at least she can keep her mouth closed and conceal them.
Satisfied that the braces are working correctly, Abby’s Orthodontist tell her that she will now start the next stage of her treatment. Abby was expecting this, but she is not sure exactly what it will involve. Soon, the doctor has fitted her with a High Pull Headgear.
When Abby finally sees herself in the mirror she is very upset. There is no way she can conceal this – everyone will stare at her. Resigned to her new look, she leaves the office to meet with a friend.
When her friend meets with her, Abby is very depressed and upset. Her friend does her best to cheer her up. They go window shopping, stop for coffee and later for ice cream. By the end of the day, Abby is feeling more like her usual self, happy and outgoing.
